No one liked their cakes, even though they both requested them. Sam wanted chocolate cake with chocolate frosting and Josh wanted confetti cake with white frosting and sprinkles on top. I spent most of the afternoon making these cakes and decorating them as Spider-Man and putting the sprinkles in the form of "Josh". Do you think any of them appreciated the hard work I put in? The only one that did was Matthew, he loved the cake. Sam picked at his, Josh all of a sudden didn't like confetti (he just wanted sprinklers on top), Ben doesn't like cake (but still complained that he never got his cake on his birthday) and Eric is trying to lose weight so he didn't have any.
So, I sat there at the table with the confetti cake in front of me and a fork in my hand. And yes, I had a pity party for myself. I take it back, Sam and Josh did enjoy putting their faces in the cake(double click Sam's picture). That's one way to not eat all the cake, which I would have if it didn't have boy germs all over it.
I went to bed last night very disappointed and pissy. How is it that you work so hard raising your kids to be respectful and good and they end up being soooooo ungrateful? Josh wanted more presents and I just wanted to throw away everything!! Sam complained that he didn't get any money in his card from Grandma and Grandpa. HE GOT A PS2 GAME AND A SUPERHEROES BOOK(which is pretty awesome, if you ask me), but still wanted money! It embarrasses me and I feel like such a failure.
I'm finished. I just needed to let out some frustrations. And since I'm blogging again, you guys get to hear it...sorry. If anything, you won't feel alone or you'll appreciate your kids more because they don't do it.
